Cape Atlantic Woodturners Newsletter
Volume #5, Issue #11
Subject: Club Minutes 11/17/2016
The November edition of the Atlantic County AAW has begun minus our own dancing minstrel Ron Befferman. Betty Campbell has been nominated for an AAW scholarship, results are expected by January. December 12 is the tentative date for the next year's planning meeting, all members are invited to attend.
After another inspiring show and tell Betty Campbell gave a demonstration about production turning. She showed how quickly she can turn using jam chucks she mad to sped up the process. Amazing how fast that block of wood transformed into a pepper mill base. No one dared get too close but not sure if it was the flying chips or the heavyweight turning tool that could slow down a speeding train when used correctly. Hope everyone was paying attention because if you blink you missed it!
December will be the annual end of the year extravaganza, bring your favorite dish as well some food on it. Hopefully Ron will bring his wooden shoes and give a clogging exhibition. Thanks to everyone for all they do to help keep this train on the tracks month after month. It ain't easy, it ain't always fun, but it is definitely worth it.
