Subject: Club Minutes 11/15/2011
We had a nice small gathering last night. In attendance were Tom Henry, Bob Broschart, Jeff Schnell, Gerald Bruman, John Andrews, Doug James, Alan Tasoff and myself. The meeting started off with a discussion of the safety device for a table saw called Sawstop and whether its use should be government mandated or not. Consensus was "no" except for schools.
For the January meeting, Bob Broschart, Arthur Bichsel and Gerald Bruman will be conducting a workshop on making a jewelry box. Gerald and Arthur will also work on a future demonstration of metal spinning.
Last year we had a holiday party at the library with plenty of food and good company. We will repeat that this year at our December 20th meeting. Bring your spouse or a friend and a dish of your choice.
Tom Henry will be submitting the paperwork for a monetary Community Craftsman award this week for the work we did for Betty Bacharach Rehab Program.
Tom will put together a list of possible future club projects, which we will alternate every other month with club demonstrations or workshops.
Show and Tell: Gerald Bruman took the Turner of the Month Award for his amazing large turnings.
