Subject: Club Minutes 12/15/2015
Another year has eclipsed for the Cape-Atlantic County chapter of the AAW so it is time for a meeting filled with food, treats, a display of amazing turnings and even a little Corian. Show and tell had a bit of a "twist" this month. Members brought in one of their earliest pieces and the latest to see how far they have progressed. Very interesting to see the difference in quality and imagination. Ron Befferman brought in a candlestick made of Corian, it looked as if it were marble. We were hoping he would bring his wooden shoes and give everyone a show of his clogging expertise but evidently he left them in the rain and they swelled. Maybe next month.
The idea of a summer social is being passed around, the location and date are still in the dream stage. One idea of a location is the park near the entrance to the Cape May zoo. We may have to reconsider this, if park officials come around they may try to confiscate Alan. A loose schedule for 2016 meetings has been presented by President for life Bruman, many good ideas for presentations by both locals and professionals alike. Everyone appreciates the amount of time Gerald puts in to keep this club turning, he does a great job and comes up with ideas for different events to keep things interesting.
This will be the last meeting of 2015, so wishing everyone a happy and healthy, thanks for all the efforts of so many, keep up the good work.
