Cape Atlantic Woodturners Newsletter

Volume #2, Issue #8
Subject: Club Minutes 8/21/12

Our meeting was held at the Library.

Those in attendance were: Arthur Bichsel, Bob Broschart, Shirley Hill, Gerald Bruman, Ron Befferman, Tom Henery, Alan Tasoff, and Doug James.

Ron asked the members what they would like to see at our future meetings. Having received no suggestions, he mentioned that the meetings we had the best attendance were when we hosted a Work Shop at the VoTec in Cape May.
Everyone agreed and thought it would be a good idea if we had more of them.

At Show and Tell Bob showed us a beautiful aluminum lined Wine Bottle Cooler. Gerald showed an almost finished 36" Platter finished on one side only. Tom showed the new 50 Cal. pen casing and a new bolt action pen. Shirley showed a number of in-process grinders, stoppers and small owls.
She also had a box of bottle stopper blanks which needed wood identification. Tom, Bob and Doug were a big help in the identification of the blanks.

Arthur Bichsel talked about the next workshop for September at the Library.
