Our Next Meeting is March 18th

Our next meeting will be at the Library, March 18th at 7PM.

Betty Campbel will be demonstrating "Grab Bag Turning"..
You know, all those valuable small pieces of wood you just can't seem to toss into the firewood pile, but yet you don't know what to do with them.
Watch Betty and learn some neat things.

Special Up-coming Event on May 17th

May 17th Betty Campbel will be doing a demonstration of Woodturning, outside the
Cape May County Artist Cooperative
122 Sunset Blvd. West Cape May, NJ.
Starts 11 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m
Don't dare miss it!

Two great meetings within a week for February

First, at our regular monthly meeting we had an outstanding demo on pen turning. Tom Henry put together an awesome presentation on the many facets of pen turning. His presentation was very extensive showing the progression of pen turning accessories through the years.

It was obvious to all of us non-pen turners at the end of the meeting that we may want to consider attempting to master this skill.

Secondly, Ron Befferman held a woodturning open-house at his workshop. Thanks Mark, Ryan, Ralph, and Al for attending. Hopefully they will consider attending a meeting and possibly join the club.

Thanks Tom and Ron for all you do for the Cape Atlantic Woodturners!!!!

Ron Befferman's Turning Open House
Saturday February 22nd from 2 to 5 pm

The purpose of this special session is to meet fellow Woodturners and inform them about the club.

We are also trying to find potential new members for the club that are either already Woodturners, or those that may be interested in Learning To Turn.

The Place: Ron Befferman's House, 303 Pond Road, Egg Harbor Township New Jersey 08234, If you need more info, call Ron at 609-601-2663

Our Next Meeting is February 18th

Be sure to make our next meeting where Tom Henry will demonstrate Pen Turning. The meeting/demonstration will take place at our usual meeting location, the Upper Township Library at 7PM.

Special Planning Meeting
1:00PM Saturday, Feb 1st

There will be a special “Planning Meeting” at Ron’s house on Saturday. Rather than take up valuable club meeting time deciding what to do at the meetings, we are having a planning meeting to discuss and plan the 2014 CAW monthly meetings. We are hoping for a large turnout for this meeting so we can get as much input as possible regarding what you want to see at the meetings.

Special Note from our new
club President - Gerald Bruman

I would like to personally thank Ron and Alan for their great service to the club over the years. They each have paid their service dues. Ron was THE founding father of the CAW Club. I owe everything I know about woodturning to the CAW Club. Ron, thank you for founding the club, leading the club, and putting up with members like me since 2003. You have done a great job!!! Alan, thank you for supporting Ron and keeping him focused. You did a great job making sure the club meetings were lively. Ron and Allen, hopefully Arthur and I can live up to your expectations, you have set the bar high.
